<div itemprop="description">Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. Rita McBride-Lawton, passed away peacefully at the age of 71 on Friday June 7th, 2024 surrounded by family and loved ones. Rita will be dearly missed by her beloved husband Raymond McBride, having recently celebrated 50 years of marriage together. She is survived by her three sons Shaun (Julie), Keith, and Christopher (Julie) and Stefanie (Rob). Forever remembered as “Nanny Rita” to most, she will live on through her grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Aidan, Maeve, Tristan, Marissa, Lea, Sienna, Jayden and Kaylie. She also leaves behind her surviving siblings: Donia, Bobby, Johnny, Clifford, Kenny, Kim and many lifelong friends. She will always be remembered as a selfless, generous and caring soul who always put others first. <br> <br>We invite you all to a small memorial, held in honor of Rita, as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request your presence on Thursday evening, June 13th from 6pm to 8pm at Rideau funeral home located at 4275 Boul. Des Sources, Dollard Des Ormeaux, Qc. <br> <br>Special mention: Please refrain from sending or bringing flowers as it was her wishes and her husband’s as well. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a cause that you believe would be dear to her heart. <br></div>
