He died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. <br> <br>Bob, a beloved husband, devoted father, and cherished friend, left a lasting impact on our lives. He embraced life with determination and a positive outlook. <br> <br>He is survived by his wife, Solange, his three children, Natalie (James), Robert Jr. (Libby) and Stephen (Catherine), his grandchildren Brandon, Courtney, Madison, Reece, Hunter, Esmee and Brooklyn and his sisters Shirley, Carol, and Judy. He was predeceased by his parents, Agnes and Leo Laplante. <br> <br>Bob's cherished wife, Solange, his trusted companion and partner, steadfastly shared his journey. His life was filled with rich experience, laughter, and cherished friendships. <br> <br>As a father, Bob served as a guiding light to his children while encouraging their aspirations and imparting practical wisdom. After Bob retired from a successful newspaper career, he indulged his passions of golf, travel and following the stock market. <br> <br>In this time of loss, let us remember Bob as a remarkable individual whose infectious smile and zest for life impacted so many. May his memory continue to guide and inspire us and remind us to appreciate the present and embrace a life filled with laughter. <br> <br>A celebration of Bob Laplante's life will be held at noon, Thursday, June 1st, 2023, at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, Dollard-Des Ormeaux, Quebec H9B 2A6 <br> <br>Though Bob is no longer with us, his legacy will forever resonate within our hearts. May we find solace in the memories we share.</div>
