<div itemprop="description">ln Loving Memory of Leonard Roy Shetler <br> <br>It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Leonard Roy Shetler, who left us in his 86th year on June 29th, 2025 after a brief illness. <br>Roy was the beloved husband of Cynthia Bacon, cherished father of Wendy (Ron) and Scott (Anne-France), and devoted stepfather to Graham (Janick) and Wendy (Justin). He was a proud grandfather to Ryan, Megan, Brandon, Avery, and Jason, each of whom brought him immense joy. <br> <br>Roy dedicated over 40 years to education as a Physical Education Teacher and Administrator with the English Montreal School Board. He was also deeply involved with the GMAA (Greater Montreal Athletic Association), where he played a key role in promoting school sports across the Region. <br> <br>An avid outdoorsman, Roy found joy in cross-country skiing, swimming, biking, and boating. In his retirement, his greatest pleasure came from camping adventures with his family and close friends—moments filled with laughter, stories, and lasting memories. <br> <br>A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 9th from 2-5 PM at Rideau Funeral Home - 4275, boul. des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC. <br></div>
