It is with sadness that we announce the passing of my mom on July 12, 2024, peacefully. Sally touched the lives of all who knew her with her style, grace and kindness. She leaves behind her daughter, Tara (John Frame), and her beloved “grandboys,” Gavin and Kyle, of whom she was so proud. She will be deeply missed by many long-time friends and neighbours who loved her. Sally was pre-deceased by her mother, Christina “Tiny” Ott, father Elmer Ott, her niece Karen Marchi, and her husband, Bruce Brown, with whom she had 17 full and happy years.

Throughout her life, Sally was known for her tireless devotion to volunteer work and fundraising. First, as a 65 year member of her Beta Sigma Phi Chapter, and most notably, as a volunteer with the Lakeshore General Hospital Auxiliary since its founding in 1964. She was never more in her element than when she donned her “blue smock” and set to work being of service to those in need. This was in addition to her career as a secretary, the last 20 years of which were spent with Avon. Sally will always be remembered for her legendary cooking and baking, her gardens which were a marvel, and her love of entertaining friends and family.

A service for Sally will be held at Saint Edward the Confessor in Pointe-Claire on Friday, July 26 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Auxiliary of the Lakeshore General Hospital in her memory.
