<div itemprop="description">It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Sandor Cselenyi Sr, age 87, on April 10, 2024. <br> <br>Born in Hungary in 1936, he left the country during the Hungarian Revolution with only the shirt on his back and was graciously received by Canada shortly thereafter. He started work as soon as possible and made a family. <br> <br>Sandor is survived by his loving wife Hedy (Hedwig), and his daughter Sue (Suzanne) and his son Sandor Jr. Besides being a beloved husband and father, he was also a grandfather, a great grandfather, and an uncle. He is predeceased by his parents and his four siblings. <br> <br>Sandor was known for his energy, charismatic charm, sense of humor, generosity, thoughtfulness, and manners. Always a gentleman. He was dedicated to his family, friends, and work, and to all he always gave himself selflessly. Sandor retired from Air Canada after over 25 years of dedicated service. He loved to travel worldwide, but he had a special place in his heart for Hungary, South Africa, and his home in Canada. He will be missed by his family, friends, neighbours, and work colleagues. <br> <br>Thank you to the staff at Grace Dart for their kind efforts; they are angels. <br> <br>A celebration of life will be held on May 25, 2024 from 2-4 PM, at Salon funéraire Rideau Funeral Home.
