<div itemprop="description">With great sadness, we announce that a great man, father and grandfather, Serge Jetté, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Ville Saint-Laurent on June 26, 2026. Pre-deceased by his wife of 42 years, Corinne (née Mount Pleasant). He is survived by his loving children Daniel (Louise) and Bryan, and his grandchildren Daphnée and Grégory, his cherished cousins Lise and Claude, and many family, friends, and colleagues. <br> <br>Serge’s life was a model of quiet perseverance. Raised in Montreal’s working-class Griffintown district, Serge found success through a willingness to adapt and an openness to learn. He was a loving father and husband who worked hard for his family, modelling kindness, compassion, and an unshakeable work ethic. After Corinne’s passing in 2014, Serge was a pillar of strength for Bryan, Daniel, and Louise, and a steadying presence in their lives. <br> <br>At the age of 49, Serge established a successful new career at Dorfin and continued working with joy and energy rather than retire, celebrating 25 years with the company in 2023 and finding a strong community and building important friendships with his colleagues. <br> <br>Serge also knew how to have fun. He dove head-first into the role of grandfather to Daphnée and Grégory, and would think nothing of driving from Montreal to Gatineau to attend a birthday celebration, daycare snacktime or school play. He loved music and he made sure both home and car were loaded with rock ’n’ roll records, especially his beloved Rolling Stones. <br> <br>Serge never forgot where he came from. In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations in his honour to Share the Warmth (https://sharethewarmth.ca/), an organization dedicated to helping Montrealers in need.</div>
