With profound love and sadness, we are honoring our mother Sonia Esmirna Orantes de Salazar (Orantes Henriquez), who has gone to heaven. We were truly blessed to have had such a wonderful mother, whose love, strength, and dedication left an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew her.

Sonia will be remembered for her tenderness, her unconditional devotion, and the love with which she cared for her family, including her pets. She had a great love for music, art and dancing. A motherly presence that made everyone feel included and cared for in her life.

She is survived by her mother, Berta Alicia Demaria, her daughters, Alicia María and Esmirna Alejandra, her siblings and her entire family.

We will all miss her every day, along with her best friends Francisco Gutiérrez, Mario Ruiz and many friends, who will also carry her in their hearts forever.

Today she found eternal peace, received with open arms by her abuela Juana (grandmother), her brother Salvador, her sister Ivonne, and her beloved husband Fidel Orlando Salazar, who were waiting for her in heaven to be reunited once again.

Her memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.

With much love rest in peace Mami Sonia. You are loved for all of infinity and beyond.

We would like you to join us in celebrating Sonia’s life, this one is going to be special since it will take place on her real birthday (not the legal one), where she would have turned 70 years old. It will be located in a beautiful reception hall and terrace at the funeral home. Refreshments will be served. If the weather permits, you will be able to enjoy the view of the terrace. We will have a video presentation of her memories, along with music that she loved. Her daughters and friends will be waiting for you with open arms.
