It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Susanne Butler (nee Streubel), on September 20, 2019, at the age of 67, in Montreal. Beloved wife of Al Butler for 42 years, she also leaves behind her sons Alexander (Marline) and Andrew, her grandson Zachary, as well as many family members and friends across Canada, USA and Germany.

Susanne had a zest for life that was hard to match. Her bright smile, contagious laughter and tenacious attitude could be seen and heard be it when she was with her family and friends, on the golf course or camping with the F.R.O.G.ladytes. Susanne never turned down the opportunity to participate in a new project - finishing a basement, renovating a kitchen or creating a new woodworking collection to share with loved ones during the holidays. Susanne gained the titled of "Oma" when her grandson was born 4 years ago. Oma held that title with pride as Zachary became her ray of sunshine, challenging her to become a kid once again. Oma loved Zachary in a way no words could describe and he knew it. They spent hours together playing games, going to the park, baking together, learning to count, and going on adventures on the bus/train or in the trailer.

Family will receive condolences at the Rideau Funeral Home (4275 Sources Blvd, DDO, H9B 2A6) on October 1, 2019 from 10am to 11am, followed by a celebration of her life at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cedars Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
