Born on February 24, 1933, in New Delhi, India, Swaran built a beautiful life filled with love, resilience, and purpose. She moved to Montreal in 1980, where she created a warm home and an enduring legacy for her family. <br> <br>A woman of extraordinary perseverance and strength, Swaran dedicated her life to her family, especially to the loving care of her husband, the late Madan Lal Chopra, until his passing in 2019. Her devotion, selflessness, and unwavering spirit remain an inspiration to all who knew her. She will also be remembered for her love of cooking, which brought family and friends together and made everyone feel welcome at her table. <br> <br>Swaran is survived by her children: Sunil Chopra (wife Manju), Anil Chopra (wife Anju), and Neera Chopra. <br>She leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Tina (husband Anil), Arjun (wife Jinal), Shiv (wife Samantha), Megha (husband Karan), and Varun (wife Roopkiran). <br>She was the proud great-grandmother of Diya, Sonia, Kris, Mila, Nikki, Maya, Alia, and Kaia. <br> <br>She is also survived by her dear brother Subash Khanna (wife Chanchal) and their family: Amit (wife Shikha, daughter Anika) and Ankush.
