<div itemprop="description">Ronald Tassé was ushered peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on January 16, 2026, at the age of 97. Born on October 13, 1928, Ronald lived a long and faithful life, marked by a deep and genuine love for his Lord, his family, and all his acquaintances. <br> <br>Ronald was predeceased by his adoptive parents, Albini and Yvonne, of St-Jérôme; his siblings Hélène, Maurice, and Monique; his first wife, Evelyn Houle; his second wife, Cecile Houle; his son Richard; and his great-grandchild Jessie-James. <br> <br>He is lovingly remembered by his brother Norman (Ghislaine); his daughter Louise (Paul Arendt); his grandchildren Steven (Jennifer), Corey (Crystal), Rebecca, David (Jacqueline) Arendt, Caroline (Shawn Wilson), and Gerry (Nicole) Arendt; his great-grandchildren Kyle, Charlotte, Corey Jr., Colton, Morgan, Gracie, Lilly, Bailey, Jax, Jemma, Odin, Oliver, Meredith, Evan, Addison, Evie, MacKenzie, Danika, and Margot; and his great-great-grandchildren Kaysen and Navy. <br> <br>Visitation will be held at Rideau Funeral Home on Monday, January 26, 2026, from 1:00–2:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. A light snack will follow the service. A private burial will be held in the spring. <br> <br>Ronald will be fondly remembered for his faith, wisdom, gentle nature, and the love he shared with his family throughout his life. He would not want us to mourn as others, for he is “absent from the body and present with the Lord.”</div>
