On April 18, 2026, at the age of 97, Mrs. Tatiana Lucia Popovici (born Terdic) passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. She was the beloved wife of the late Gheorghe Popovici, PhD. Born the ninth of ten children, she went on to live the longest, carrying with her the memories, stories, and bonds of an entire family.
She leaves behind a rich and enduring legacy of love, carried forward by her devoted children, Rodica (Mihai) and Radu, and her cherished grandchildren Corina (Dean), Calin (Stephanie), Cosmin (Ioanna), Alice (Ronnie), and Cristian (Martha). As a proud great grandmother to Olivia, Victoria, Victor, Adrianna, and James, she found profound joy in watching her family grow across generations. Her memory is also deeply held by many relatives and dear friends, both here and in Romania, whose lives were touched by her kindness, generosity, and the meaningful moments she shared so freely.
A true lady in every sense, her life was defined by love, faith, and her devotion to family. Naturally caring, she was the heart of her home—offering comfort, guidance, and encouragement with sincerity. She lived her values through honesty, and an unwavering dedication to doing good.
The family will receive condolences on May 1, 2026 at Rideau Funeral Home, from 4:30 p.m. followed by a Greek-Catholic service and a repast.
