<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Teresa Angeline Samuel, on January 26th, 2021, at the age of 93. <br> <br>She was the devoted wife of Kanawathipillai E. Samuel, with whom she shared her life for 71 years, and loving daughter of deceased parents Victoria and S.A. Alagaratnam (Head Teacher at St. Patrick’s College, Jaffna). She will be greatly missed by her children Tilak (Jesica), Cynthia (late Kingsley Arulanandam) and Rienzie Lawrence (Sumathy) and fondly remembered by her grandchildren Rozanne (Mark Rallis), Geetha, Crithicca, Partheban, Tyrone and Abbey, and great grandchildren, Anjali and Danae. Teresa was the beloved sister of late Pauline (M. Lawrence, dec.), late Lawrence (Poomani), late Cathleen (S.A. John, dec.), Caroline (C. Bastiampillai, dec.), late Cecilia (S. Anthonipillai, dec.), and late Rita (A. Bastiampillai, dec.). She also leaves behind her nephews and nieces, as well as countless other family members and friends. <br> <br>Teresa Angeline Samuel was born on May 13th, 1927 in Jaffna, Sri Lanka and attended school at Holy Family Convent. She made Montreal, Canada her home since 1985. Teresa (Baba) was a loving and dedicated soul graced with an unconditional, selfless love and nurturing heart. Teresa was a religious woman with tremendous strength, integrity and devotion to God. With her faith, she now joins our heavenly Father in peace. <br> <br>Due to circumstances in regards to the pandemic, a private family event will be held in her memory at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 des Sources Blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux on Sunday January 31st 2021 from 2 to 4pm.
