<div itemprop="description">Terry (aged 82) passed peacefully on September 22nd, 2022, at the Lachine General Hospital with his wife Leslie Laura Dixon by his side. Terry leaves behind his loving sisters Shirley, Jeannie and Barbara (Daryl) and many nieces and nephews living in British Columbia, and his sister-in-law Elizabeth Anne Dixon (Michael) from North Carolina. He is preceded by his brothers Anthony Kyle, Thomas Ian Black and his sister Anne Hansen. Terry was born in Kelowna, BC on 7 December 1939. <br><br>The family then moved to Victoria, B.C. in 1942 where Terry began and completed his schooling. In 1963 he moved to Montreal where he commenced his employment with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). A career he enjoyed until his retirement in the year 2000, after 37 years of loyal service. Terry was an active member of the Transportation Masonic Lodge and St. Paul’s Lodge where he held various positions including that of Master. He was also a member of Summerlea United Church in Lachine, Quebec where he served as an elder and member of the church choir. Terry also enjoyed participating in many clubs such as Toastmasters, the Calligraphy Society of Ottawa and the Lakeshore Civitan Club. Terry enjoyed golfing, reading and traveling around the world.<br><br> The family wishes to thank the members of the Summerlea United Church (particularly; Rev. Gladu, Colleen Kilkenny & Connie Osborne) and the staff of the Lachine General for their remarkable care and compassion. <br><br>Final arrangements are entrusted to Rideau Memorial Gardens where a memorial service will be held on 19 October, 2022 at 11h30. In lieu of flowers, friends of Terry are encouraged to make a donation in his name to the Lakeshore Civitan Club.<br><br><br><br></div>
