Thérèse Morissette
April 9, 1922 - July 20, 2023
It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Thérèse Morissette Spencer at the age of 101. Tess passed away peacefully on July 20th, 2023 at the Lakeshore General Hospital. Pre-deceased by her husband Edward (Ted), she was the devoted mother of Bob(Carole), Marlene and James(Nicole). Cherished grandmother of Dave(Beata), Mark(Tanya), Patricia(Dan), Joanne, Lisa and Christopher(Nadine). Beloved great-grandmother of Jérémy(Leila), Chloé,Owen, Emma, Kevin, Rachel, Ryan, Holly, Lea, Lucas and Luasi.
Born in Sillery, Qc, on the 9th of April, 1922, she was the youngest of 6 children. She married on April 15, 1947, a union that lasted until August of 2000. Then followed a move to Montreal with many ensuing changes of address until ending up in Pierrefonds and finally, The Wellesley.
Those years were punctuated by regular drives to Florida, a love of country music, a strong attachment to anything "Elvis", dance, and many activities.
Over the years, she was a member of several bowling leagues, The Pierrefonds Lawn Bowling Club, and whist and bridge groups. In her later years, she was also an avid pool player.
Competitive to the end, she had hung on her wall the saying: I see no reason to act my age!
