<div itemprop="description"><br>Szilagyi, Violet Grace (nee Fidork) <br>August 13, 1932 - January 11, 2024 <br> <br>It is with heavy hearts that we announce Violet's passing at the age of 91. <br> <br>Violet is survived by her sons Gary, Brian (Tina), and Johnny (Marie-Lyse), her grandchildren David, Alexa, step grandson Julian, and many nieces and nephews. <br> <br>Predeceased by her dear husband John, parents Michael and Aldea (Bissonnette) and siblings Michael, Florence and Lily. <br> <br>Violet was an adored and devoted mother and grandmother who would do anything for her sons and grandchildren. Brian and Gary spoke with Violet daily, and visited often. These phone calls and visits will be greatly missed and family gatherings will never be the same without their beautiful Mom. <br> <br>Violet lit up every room she entered, with her radiant smile. She is known for her sense of style and her love of dance. If music was playing, her feet were moving. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing and participating in activities at the senior's club and the Legion. In recent years she enjoyed many of these activities with her caring and close friend, Jean-Marc. <br> <br>Celebration of life will be at Rideau Funeral Home in DDO on April 13th from noon to 2pm, followed by burial at 2:30pm. She will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband at Rideau Cemetery. <br> <br>Donations to the Heart & Stroke Association in Violet's memory would be appreciated. <br> <br></div>
