It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wanda-Teresa Rewers (Widawska), who left us peacefully on November 2, 2025.
An energetic, determined, and warm-hearted woman, she lived through the turmoil and violence of 20th century Europe, war and communism, before finding refuge in Quebec, where she discovered peace and happiness with her husband, Felix Rewers, himself a Polish refugee and Allied veteran of the war in Europe.
Wanda-Teresa will be deeply missed by her cousin, cousine Ilona Chwastek, and by her many dear friends.
Remembered for her kindness, warmth, and infectious laughter, she touched the lives of all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 875 Marcel-Laurin Boulevard, on November 29 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the Field of Honor, 703 Donegani, Pointe-Claire (Quebec) H9R 5G6.
She will remain forever in our hearts and memories.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Our Lady of Fatima Church (514) 747-4226 would be greatly appreciated.
