It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. William(Bill) John Lane at the age of 82 years. Bill was a beloved brother, father, grandfather and friend, who left us peacefully on October 9th.
Bill, known for his warm heart and wavering dedication to his family, is survived by his brother Don (Monique), sons Mark (Ilana) and Randy (Chantelle) and his five cherished grandchildren (Alyssa, Riley, Ethan, Jackson, Linden). His love for his family was boundless, and his presence will forever live in the memories he leaves behind.
Throughout his life, Bill found joy in the simplest moments-whether it was spending time with his wife Lois and grandchildren, offering wisdom to his sons, or sharing stories that captured the essence of his generous spirit. His legacy is one of love, laughter and strength.
The family invites you to join them for the visitation and funeral service at 12:00pm at the Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, Dollard-Des-Ormeaux. There will then be a celebration of life at Le Vieux Dorval at 3:30pm.(the old Dorval Tavern) with food and drinks.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Bill's late wife Lois, to the Alzheimer Society of Canada (alzheimer.ca).
Bill will be dearly missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
