It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Bill at the age of 87.
Born in Pictou, Nova Scotia, Bill spent the majority of his life in Montreal, dedicating 50 years to a career in the aviation industry.

Bill is survived by his three sisters, Joan, Beverley, and Sheila, as well as his loving wife Barbara, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage. Their son, John, cherished his father deeply. Sandrine, his daughter-in-law, and his two grandchildren, Emily and Julien, also remember him with affection. Bill is also survived by many nieces and nephews who have always felt loved by him.

For three decades, Bill took to the skies from Cooper Aviation in St. Lazare, contributing to fly-in breakfast events and assisting with aircraft on the field. He was such a generous soul that he also volunteered for many years with the 690 Lakeshore Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets, where he taught model-building and helped with fundraising activities. It was a heart-wrenching moment for Bill when he had to give up flying, a passion that defined much of his life.

In remembering Bill, let us recall the joy he brought to those around him and his legendary bear hugs he gave his family. His love for aviation and his commitment to his loved ones will always be a part of his enduring legacy. While he may have taken his final flight, his spirit will forever live on in our hearts.

The family will receive condolences at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux on Tuesday September 5th 2023 as of 12:00 followed by a celebration of his life at 12:30.
