In Loving Memory of William Wing Hay Tam
With love and gratitude to God for his life, we announce the passing of William Wing Hay Tam, a beloved husband, devoted father and father-in-law, cherished grandfather, and loyal brother, and much-loved uncle, who departed this life peacefully on September 2, 2025, at the age of 77.
William was the loving husband of Wendy, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage built on love, laughter, and unwavering support. Together, they created a life full of memories, raising two daughters who were the light of their life.
He was a devoted father to Katherine and her husband, Sam, and to Mabel, younger daughter. His role as a father was one he embraced with deep commitment, always offering guidance, patience, and unconditional love.
As a grandfather, he found immeasurable joy in his four grandsons: his oldest grandson Liam, energetic twins Max and Zac, and Aiden, the beloved son of his youngest daughter. Each grandson brought their own light into his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them—from playful laughter to quiet conversations. His grandchildren will remember him as a steady, loving presence who always had time for them.
Born the second son in a large family, William grew up alongside five brothers and one sister, united by the enduring values of family—values that remained strong no matter where life took them around the world.
William will be remembered for his gentle strength, unwavering integrity, and the quiet kindness he extended to everyone he met. Whether offering a helping hand or sharing a story over a cup of tea, he made those around him feel valued, heard, and loved.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and deep-rooted family values. Though his absence leaves an ache in our hearts, his spirit lives on in the lives he touched so deeply.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 7th, 2025 at Rideau Memorial Gardens, 4275 Sources Boulevard, Dollard-Des Ormeaux, QC H9B 2A6.
