It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Yasmin on October 22, 2020.

Yasmin was a devoted daughter and a remarkable aunt and older sister. She was there when anyone ever needed her. She never hesitated to get down on the floor to build LEGO creations with her niece and nephews. She had endless love and patience for them. She enjoyed sharing her passions with them, and in teaching them new skills.

Yasmin was a vibrant and loving person. Passionate about the outdoors, she was always keen to tackle new athletic challenges and adventures. She delighted in rowing and dragon boat racing, and was an avid biker and hiker. She had a love for travel, and was always looking for new and interesting places to explore. She was a talented artist who loved to paint and play the piano.

Kind and compassionate, Yasmin was committed to making the world a better place. She tirelessly gave her skills and efforts to help others through service. She always sought ways to contribute to children’s education initiatives, and helping the environment. In everything that she did she strived to make the world around her more beautiful.

She leaves behind her loving parents Naseem and Meher Ahmad, her brother, Omar Ahmad (Julie Ann Miller), and her nephews and niece, Elias, Adam, and Myriam, as well as many cousins, family members, and friends.

A religious service will be held for close family at Rideau Funeral Home (4275 Sources Blvd. DDO, H9B 2A6) on October 27th, 2020, at 12:30pm. A burial for family and friends will follow at 2:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her honour to CARE. https://care.ca/

May she fill the hearts of all who knew her with her inspiration and love.
