<div itemprop="description">With great sadness we announce the passing of Walter Wittemann on Sunday August 27, 2023, at the age of 84. <br> <br>Walter was born on December 13, 1938 in Holland to Walter and Elizabeth Wittemann. He was the 3rd of four children, at the age of 4 they moved to Hanover Germany. Walter immigrated to Canada when he was 19 years old, where he met his beautiful bride and wife, Josephine Spronck at the Belgium Club in Montreal. They were later married in Montreal Quebec on September 19, 1964. In 1962, Walter began his career at Sadler Conveyor, then moving his family to their forever home in Dollard Des Ormeaux in 1976. He was the proud owner of his own business Expert Conveyor in LaSalle, which he ran successfully until his retirement in 1999. <br> <br>Apart from managing his company, Walter enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. He had a love for sports, boxing, golfing, traveling, camping/fishing and he was also an avid reader. Over the years, Walter had many Dachshunds, but his little Sophie always had a very special place in his heart. <br> <br>Walter is survived by his wife of 59 years, Josephine; his children, Pirko (Georges), Kurt (Danielle) and Sonja (Giovanni); Grandchildren, Daniel Foliot (Tasha), Kristen Foliot (Georgio), Jessika Hughes (Dave), Matthew Wittemann (Lexi), Lauren Wittemann (Ashton), Olivia Pucella (Ariel), Julian Pucella (Jordan), Adriana Pucella (Alec), Gabrial Pucella, Jordan Haddad (Anthony), his great Grandchildren; Leo Hughes, Ella Hughes, Luke Hughes and Elowen Christophorou. His sister, Astrid Fuehr and his sisters in law Monica Wittemann & Gerda Wittemann as well as family members living in Germany and Holland. <br> <br>Funeral services will be held on Sunday September 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Rideau Memorial Gardens 4275 Sources Boulevard, Dollard des Ormeaux QC H9B 2A6. <br> <br>If you are unable to attend, we would appreciate if you can write your message of condolence in the Guestbook tab above</div>
