<div itemprop="description">After a long illness and surrounded by his family, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alessandro (Alex) on October 31st, 2018 at the West Island Palliative Care Residence. <br> <br>Survived by his wife of 47 years, Rosemarie and his children Christina (Daniel), Marisa (Stephen) and Anita (Stephen). Alessandro was Nonno to Allison, Amelia, Joshua, Julianna, Hannah, Sarah, Zoë and Brandon. He will be deeply missed by his sister Giuseppina and brothers Joe (Rina), Mario (Maria), Domenico (Elizabeth) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Diamante. <br> <br>Alex was born in Caiazzo, Italy and immigrated to Canada at the age of 13. He was an executive with the Royal Bank of Canada and retired after 35 years of proud service. He was an avid golfer, loved gardening, winemaking and spending time with his family and friends. <br> <br>Visitation will take place at Rideau Memorial Gardens, 4239 Sources Blvd., Dollard-Des Ormeaux, QC, H9B 2A6 on, November 5th 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00pm. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Thomas á Becket Church, 4320 St. Anne Street, Pierrefonds, H9H 4Y7 on November 6th 2018 at 11:00am. The internment will follow thereafter at Rideau Memorial Gardens Cemetery D.D.O. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Nova West Island or the West Island Palliative Care. <br> <br>Thank you to the many caregivers throughout the years that made home care possible. A special thank you to the CLSC Pierrefonds, and the NOVA Nurses and staff at the West Island Palliative Care Residence for their support during this difficult time. <br></div>
