Allan Albert Nellis, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family members on September 30, 2023, in Montreal, Quebec. He was born on June 9, 1939, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Allan was a kind and thoughtful father who loved to travel. He was always willing to help people and made numerous friends during his winters in Florida. With 44 years of sobriety, he was dedicated to supporting others in their own journey to sobriety.
Allan was preceded in death by his brothers Billy and Edward, as well as his ex-wife Lillian.
After retiring from a successful career as a long-time Air Canada employee of 32 plus years, Allan enjoyed pursuing his hobbies. In his younger years, he was an avid skier and served as a volunteer Ski Patroller for the Canadian Ski Patrol. He was a proud member of the Canadian Ski Patrols Decagon club.
Allan is survived by his beloved wife Vicky, his stepdaughter Jennifer, his son’s Tim and Dean his daughters in-law Julie and Romina his grand children (Tim) Micheal, Holly and Ivy (Dean) Nathalie and Marc (Marco), additionally, he is survived by his nephews David (Lisa), Ronny (Marie-Anne), and Wesley (Rosa).
A funeral service to honor Allan's life will be held on Saturday, October 21st at 10:00am at Rideau Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 4275 Sources Boulevard, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Allan's memory.
The Rideau Funeral Home and Cemetery in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
