Andrew Forbes peacefully passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 68, in his hometown of Montreal, Quebec. His battle with cancer in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile, never complaining, and displaying strength to the very end.
For those fortunate enough to know Andrew, knew him as a long-haul hardworking trucker, with an extensive passion for trucking, enjoying his travels across North America spanning over 45 years. He expanded that passion, into co-partnering with Flatliner Transport Inc. from where he retired. He was known for his “cool as a cucumber” approach, in all circumstances, and quickly befriended those who came to know him, notwithstanding being fondly known as Flatliner’s very own “Macgyver”.
Andrew fondly known as Uncle Bunny, was born to Aston & Esther Forbes in Kingston, Jamaica. Andrew’s legacy is his family, he was deeply committed to his family, always willing and able to lend a helping hand whenever and wherever required.
Andrew is survived by his beautiful wife, Delsie. He was a father of two: Rochelle(Dwight) and Devon, and a granddaughter, Laniyah. He was also a father figure to many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews. He also leaves behind his 5 siblings: Beverly, Joyce(Clinton), Blanche, Violet(Owen) & Horace(Sandra). He will be dearly missed by countless cousins, extended family and close friends.
