It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Anna Halliday (Hric) who left us on September 26, 2024.

Anna was born on June 28,1928 in Czechoslovakia, in Lastomir in what is now the Slovak Republic. She immigrated to Canada in 1930 with her beloved mother, Anna Hric (Uhrin), to join her father, John Hric, who had already come. In 1932, she and her mother visited Czechoslovakia where her mother gave birth to her gentle brother, John Hric. The three of them returned to Canada in 1933, rejoining her father.

Our mother was deeply grateful to have lived a long and happy life well into her 96th year. She was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband, Jack, of 57 years, and her precious daughter, Donna Lynn, who passed away tragically in 1981 at the tender age of 17.

Our mother will be dearly missed by her loving children, son, Bryan (Helene) and daughter, Karen (John); by her grandchildren to whom she was Baba, Ryan (Dragana), Lindsay (PJ), and Karley; and by her great grandchildren to whom she was Nana, Jackson, Bradleigh and Logan.

Visitation will be at the Rideau Memorial Garden, located at 4275 Sources Blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux (Quebec) H9B 2A6 on Monday, October 7th, 2024 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM with a service immediately following. You are welcome to join our family for dinner following the service.

In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made to the Old Brewery Mission.
