On Sunday, March 15th, 2020, she went to be with her lord. She will be dearly missed.

She was born in s’Gravenhage to mother Jeannette Van Etten and father Johannes Dekkers. She married her late husband Johannes Marinus Ladan in s’Gravenhage in 1946 and had four children. They immigrated to Canada in 1959 and celebrated their golden anniversary in 1996. Pre-deceased by her sisters Lucy and Jeannette, and her brother Jan.

Beloved mother of Hans (Riet), Marja (Amine), Sylvia and René (Diana). She was also the grandmother of Terence (Jennifer), Shanna (Jeph), Matthew (Meghan), Carla (Karl) and Ben (Krystel). The great-grandmother of Lucas, Gwen, Evan, Owen and Bodhi. She was known as Tante Annie to many nieces and nephews in Canada, Europe, USA and Africa.

Many thanks to the doctors, nurses, préposées and staff at Centre d’hébergement Nazaire-Piché for their caring and comfort during Mom’s last days.

Wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, her quiet, kind and sweet spirit will be remembered by all. In her quiet way she loved you all.

Due to the current health concerns, a celebration of Anna’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the charity of your choice.
