<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister Auxilia Monrose who passed away peacefully at the Jewish General Hospital on October 13th 2020 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Auxilia was the eight child of the late Kirby and Josephine Monrose of Mon Repos , St Lucia Where she was born in 1948. She attended the Mon Repos Combined School, and later taught at that school for several years. She migrated to Montreal, Where she completed her Masters Degree in Social Work at McGill University. She then went on to work as a Social Work Clinician until she retired at 65 years of age. <br>She was loved by her colleagues and advisors. After retirement she traveled extensively with her husband who she was especially grateful to bring to St Lucia where she would spend the winter months in Mon Repos with family and friends. She was always engaged in the lives of everyone around her and had many deep and affectionate relationships with family and fiends who will miss her greatly. <br> <br>She is survived by her Husband Gerald Andrews, her son Daren Desir and his wife Tiffany, her grand daughter Kirsten, Her step daughters Michele, Christine, Cherry Ann, her step grand children Bellamy, Russell, Harmony , Alex and Ella. Her brothers Antoine Monrose, Victor Monrose, McMilan Monrose, Edwin Polimis, Raymond Polimis. Her sisters Bertha Etienne, Pamela Hall, Pierrolina Damiana, Etheline Monrose, Lucia James, Angela Figueira, Valencia Monrose, Eudocia Koumantaros. Her 2 adopted sisters Elizabeth Chales, Francisca Prospere. Many nieces and nephews in St Lucia, Canada, London , Curacao, US <br>Her beloved cousins, The Fowell family, the Monrose family, the Peter family, the Ross family, the amos family, the Mc Diarmed family <br> <br>May she rest in peace and may her memory be a blessing. <br> <br>Given the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will understand fully that not everyone is comfortable with attending the visitation which will be limited to 25 people for a period of 15 minutes in rotation (with masks and distancing). <br> <br>*Please note that a recording of the service will be made available shortly in the “MEDIA” section of the obituary. <br></div>
