It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Bruno Giurleo at the age of 96.
Born on March 3, 1928 in San Lorenzo, Italy, he is pre-deceased by his parents Bruno and Angela, siblings Rosina, Caterina, Francesco and Vincenza.
He leaves behind, his wife of 69 years, Giovanna (Bruzzese), cherished father to Angela, Nicodemo (Krisanne), Caterina (Ash), Maria (Rudy) and Nathalie, loving grandfather to Nicholas (Cherish), Sandra (Emilio), Vanessa (Nicolas), Isabella (Nahum), Alexis (Matthew), Matthew (Nicole), Christina (Scott), great grandfather to Sophia, Tristan, Luca, Emily, James and Matias as well as a dearly loved and respected figure to many friends and family members.
We cannot forget the wonderful care provided by the Manoir L’Ouest de L’ile for the last 3 years in addition to the care provided by doctors and nursing staff at the Lakeshore General Hospital Hemodialysis unit for many years.
Bruno leaves many great memories with his amazing smile and sense of humor. He was the only person who could stay on the dance floor for an entire occasion, loved to sing and play his guitar. He was also “il Mastro” of Italian card game Briscola. He loved his garden and was very passionate of his fruit trees and grape vines.
The family will welcome you on Thursday November 28 2024, visitation hours are from 14:00 to 17:00 and 19:00 to 21:00 and Friday November 29, 2024 as of 9:30 followed by the Ceremony at 11:00 at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, DDO, Qc.
