<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John David Wakely, on September 6, 2018 at the age of 65. <br>Son of the late John and Gerry Wakely, brother to the late Richard Wakely, husband to the late Sandra Ransom. He leaves to mourn his children David, Cheryl, John and Christine, his grandchildren Ashley, Brandon Jeffery, Thomas, Julia, Aydan, Riley, Brooklynn, Penelope and Noah, as well as many friends. <br> <br>“Dave,” as most knew him was also a proud officer with 690 Lakeshore Air Cadet Squadron from 2002-2010, retiring with the rank of Captain. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force Association since 1999 and was Immediate Past President of 394 (West Island) Wing. He was also on the organizing committee of Heroes’ Park in Beaconsfield, a member of (Churchill) No. 91 Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion and of Scouts Canada in his younger years. <br> <br>The family will receive condolences at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC H9B 2A6 514 685-3344 www.rideaumemorial.com, on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 10am to 11am.
