<div itemprop="description">Doretta Elizabeth Robert (née Guerin) passed away peacefully on August 16, 2024, at the age of 101, just shy of her 102nd birthday. She is survived by her dear children Adele (Paul) and Louise, her beloved granddaughters, Lindsay and Julie and her great-granddaughter Rosalie. <br> <br>Doretta is predeceased by her loving husband Oscar Romeo Robert with whom she shared herlife for 58 years. She is also predeceased by their granddaughter Jennifer, four of her sisters and her brother. She will be missed by her surviving sister Geraldine and her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. <br> <br>Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rideau Funeral Home in the West Island of Montréal for a private service for the immediate family. She will then be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in the National Field of Honour in Pointe-Claire. <br> <br>The family extends sincere gratitude to the second-floor staff of the CHSLD (Centre d’hébergement et de soins de longue durée) in Rigaud for the care provided to their mother/nana during the past years. To honour Doretta’s memory, a Tree of Remembrance will be planted in the McAlpine Forever Forest in Vankleek Hill. <br></div>
