Deacon Dunbar Philip Ferdinand
August 13, 1934 - August 13, 2022
We are saddened to announce the passing of Deacon Dunbar Ferdinand on Saturday, August 13, 2022. He was welcomed into eternal life, on his 88th birthday, peacefully surrounded by his family.
Born in San Fernando, Trinidad, West Indies, Dunbar was a devoted and loving husband to Merle Clarke, to whom he had been married for 63 years. Dunbar and Merle were a model of Christian marriage and chose to love one another each day. On the day of his passing, Dunbar and his family recalled stories of his life as a father, Deacon, high school teacher, brother, beloved brother-in-law, friend and counsellor to many.
He is fondly remembered by his wife Merle Clarke, their four kids, Deborah, Darren (JoDee), Denny (deceased) Alexia and Darian (Norbert).
His Grand-Children, Cassandra and Brittany, Drew, Kaleigh and Shalyn, Cedric, Tristan and Justin, Anisha and Jordin, Kaseem and Denny.
And his Great- grand-children, Payton, Denzel, Sage, Dawson, Garrett, Camden, Tristan, Hannah
Dunbar was a friend to everyone he met and made a lasting impression that will be missed. He wouldn’t want us to dwell in sadness, but rather celebrate his remarkable time on earth with photos, stories, and loving memories.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society is gratefully appreciated.
