"Pops" was born Egbert Weekes on March 20,1923 to Albertha (Berta) Weekes.

He was a Master Welder and Bodyman. Working at home welding shop while also working for Texaco at Point-a-Pierre. Proudly boasting of having modified Queen Elizabeth II 's jeep for Trinidad & Tobago Independence in August 1962. We would often drive around Marabella/San'do and him pointing out buildings he worked on. Some of Trinidad's first spiral stairs.

On August 12th, 2024, at 101.5 years Pops was called home. What a good run he had, strong in mind and spirit. If not for an untimely fall he would be still be enjoying watching Boxing or UFC bobbing and weaving to the screen.

Egbert succeeded his brother Rufus and sister Marjorie. He leaves treasure memories of his 6 children, Horace, Enez (Lisa), Cheryl (Suzette), Larry (Lawrence), Dexter and Kirk. 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Special thanks to his dear neighbour Ms. Molly who would often just make a special meal for him. His granddaughter Kiona who lived close enough to rush over to assist with his daily duties. His nieces Judy and Lynette who was able to provide care at home. His countless friends and neighbours that would make sure he had the best seat in the bar for UFC Fight Night where he sat with his orange juice yelling at the screen.
