<div itemprop="description">With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Evelyn Mary Buchanan on September 3, 2024. <br> <br>Mary, as she was affectionately known, was born and raised in British Columbia. She joined the Air Force, where she met and later married Robert Buchanan. Their 46 years of marriage were a testament to their enduring love, lasting until his passing in 2003. <br> <br>Mary had a deep passion for gardening and spent countless joyful hours in her kitchen baking sweets for family and friends. Her warmth and generosity touched everyone around her. <br> <br>She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Grace; her grandchildren, Jessie, Andrew (Abbie), and Laura (Sevelin); and her great-grandchildren, who knew her as a proud great-grandma. Mary was predeceased by her son, Robert (Anita); her grandson, Christopher; and her son-in-law, Gordon. <br> <br>The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, staff, and volunteers at the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Center for their exceptional care and compassion. <br> <br> <br>A visitation will be held on September 16, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux. <br> <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a charity of your choice.</div>
