<div itemprop="description">Gerry passed away on September 3rd, 2021, in her 76th year, following a short battle with cancer. <br> <br>Born in Montreal on May 10th, 1945, Gerry was the daughter of Thomas and Rachel McGaw. Pre-deceased by her siblings Brian and Kathleen, Gerry is survived by her sisters Mary, Lily and Rosie. <br> <br>Gerry is the loving mother of Kathleen (Adam) and John Jeffrey. She is the beloved aunt of Catherine, Allisun (Remo) and Robbie. She leaves behind grandchildren Abby, Arthur and Charlotte as well as her great nephew and nieces Brandan, Kaillan, Emersan, Charley and Billie, whom she adored. <br> <br>In her time living in Dollard, “Mrs. Currie” was a favourite of all the kids on Stonecrest and Surrey. Her warmth made her home the gathering place for all the neighbours. Living with Allisun’s family for the past decade, “Aunt Gerry” became a neighbourhood fixture, known for her sense of fun and her caring nature. Some of her best memories were volunteering with Meals on Wheels and her time with Habitat for Humanity. <br> <br>Gerry’s curiosity led her to read a wide variety of books making her knowledgeable on many subjects. Most recently, her passion for American politics kept her mind sharp and her wit intact. <br> <br>At her request, there will be no funeral, she asked that everyone share a meal with the people they love. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Habitat for Humanity Canada <br> <br>Her youthful spirit and love of everyday life with family and friends in the Beaconsfield community will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her well. <br> <br> <br></div>
