It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Gilles Leduc from complications due to Parkinson, at the CHUM. He passed away peacefully with his wife holding vigil and clasping his hand.

Gilles leaves Hélène, his wife of 50 years and the love of his life. Together they built a rewarding life filled with laughter, affection, respect and playing and watching sports. Gilles is survived by his brother-in-law, Michel Ouellette, his sister-in-law, Monique Ouellette and his nephew Alexis Poisson and partner Annabelle Landry, as well as a whole menagerie of stuffed animals that were his surrogate children. He was the son of the late Louis-Paul Leduc and the late Jeanne Lussier.

Gilles was the consummate professional and enjoyed a successful career at Teleglobe Canada and retired after more than 25 years, as Vice-President of Marketing and Sales. Gilles will be remembered by many for his quick wit, aka zingers, immense heart, gravitas and intellect. Anyone who was fortuitous enough to cross Gilles’s path would agree that he was the ultimate gentleman.

We appreciate all the support from friends and family over the past few years. A memorial service will be determined at a late date.
