It is with profound sadness that the family of Henry "Hank" Carter announces his passing on March 9th, 2026, at the age of 66.Devoted and loving partner to Tina for 18 years. Dedicated father to Bradley and a very special stepfather to Stephanie. Loving son to Edith Carter (nee Guillon) He was predeased by his father Henry Carter Senior, Cherished brother to Loretta (Steve), Brenda (Rob), and Linda (Daniel), and extremely proud uncle to Justin, Courtney, Mallery, Mellissa, Eric, and Adam. Hank will be greatly missed by many dear family and friends.
Hank dedicated his career as a courier driver for W. Pelly Transport for 27 years and then with Fastex for 15 years.
Hank will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humour and his compassion for others. He was a devoted HABS fan and enjoyed fishing. Hank embraced life and brought joy and smiles to many that crossed his path. He will be remembered for his genuine nature, his quiet resilience, and the deep love he had for his family. The memories he created and the values he lived by will remain with us always.
Heartfelt thanks go out to the ICU Unit at Lakeshore General Hospital, where he was cared for with compassion.
Family and friends will receive condolences at the viewing on Sunday, March 15th, 2026, from 9:30 – 10:30 AM. A service and tribute will take place on the same day from 10:30 – 11:30 AM at Rideau Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4239 Bd. des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Q.C.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Hank's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
