Ian David Temple, born in Montreal on June 26, 1949, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Pointe-Claire, Quebec.
Beloved husband of Sandra Hamilton Keymer for more than 35 years, Ian will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his brother Patrick Temple, his sister Diane Temple, and his stepsons Christopher (Christine) Amos and Robin Amos.
Ian gave generously of his time and talents to his community. As a long-time volunteer performer with the Lakeshore Light Opera, he was proud to be part of a group whose productions also helped raise funds for the Lakeshore General Hospital. At Christ Church Beaurepaire, Ian loved to sing in the choir and served as a trusted part-time caretaker, always ready to lend a helping hand.
For many years, Ian was a loving and supportive caregiver to his wife, Sandra, showing the same devotion at home that he shared with his wider community. During his seven years at the Cambridge Residence, he was a cherished resident, where he enjoyed the warmth of community life and participating in social activities such as bingo, pool, and pétanque.
A Remembrance Service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Christ Church Beaurepaire, 455 Church Street, Beaconsfield, QC. A reception at the church will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ian's memory may be made to the Lakeshore Light Opera or to Christ Church Beaurepaire.
