John J. Quinn
November 3, 1960 - November 28, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John James Quinn on Monday, November 28, 2022. John is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Thérèse and his brother Brian. He is survived by his sister Linda and her husband Kevin O’Farrell.
John was a long time employee of Bell Textron Canada (over 30 years) and thoroughly enjoyed his work as a metallurgical engineer. He was very active in the community and generously volunteered much of his time to local organizations and supported many different charities. John was the President of the Dollard Mixed Softball League from 1994 - 2016, and for the past 6 years he was devoted to teaching and guiding students in robotics at a high school in Lachine. He was a trivia expert, a Star Trek fan and was an avid lover of the Montreal Canadiens, especially his idol, Guy Lafleur.
Many thanks to the Oncology department at the Lakeshore General Hospital. You all made his treatments much more pleasant for him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation in the area of Oncology.
