<div itemprop="description">C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de Joseph André Lauzon, le 12 janvier 2021, des suites de la COVID-19 à l’hôpital Lakeshore de Pointe-Claire, à l’âge de 102 ans. <br> <br>Prédécédé par sa tendre épouse feu Georgette Montpetit, il laisse dans le deuil ses deux enfants Jean-Guy Lauzon et Carole Lauzon, son mari Jean-Pierre Robichaud, ainsi que son petit-fils Mark-André Lauzon, sa conjointe Sandy Piché et sa belle-sœur Simone Montpetit. <br> <br>Il laisse également de nombreux neveux et nièces ainsi que plusieurs parents, amis et collègues de la communauté policière. <br> <br>En tant que doyen des officiers de direction à la retraite du Service de police de la Ville de Montréal, Joseph André Lauzon a eu une brillante carrière de plus de 33 ans. Vivre jusqu'à cet âge, en ces temps difficiles, démontre incontestablement toute la force de caractère qu'il avait et le fort désir de mordre dans la vie. Il restera un exemple pour nous tous. <br> <br>Dû aux circonstances de la pandémie, une célébration en son honneur se tiendra à une date ultérieure. <br> <br>Confirmation de la date à suivre. <br> <br> <br>--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br> <br> <br>It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Joseph André Lauzon, on January 12, 2021, as a result of COVID-19 at Lakeshore Hospital in Pointe-Claire, at the age of 102. <br> <br>Husband of the late Georgette Montpetit, his loving wife, he is survived by his two children Jean-Guy Lauzon and Carole Lauzon, her husband Jean-Pierre Robichaud, as well as his grandson Mark-André Lauzon, his spouse Sandy Piché and his sister-in-law Simone Montpetit. <br> <br>He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as many relatives, friends and colleagues in the police community. <br> <br>As the oldest retired executive officer of the Montreal Police Department, Joseph André Lauzon has had a distinguished career spanning more than 33 years. Living to this age, in these difficult times, undoubtedly demonstrates all the strength of character he had and the strong desire to take a bite out of life. He will remain an example for all of us. <br> <br>Due to the circumstances of the pandemic, a celebration in his honor will be held at a later date. <br> <br>Confirmation of date to follow. <br></div>
