<div itemprop="description">We sadly announce the passing of Jos, on Wednesday August 14, after losing his battle to cancer. <br> <br>Predeceased by his beloved wife, Julita Antolin Houx. Mourned by his loving family, his son, Joe, daughter-in-law, Leona, his grandchildren, Lorna, Brianna, Riley and Leah, and honorary daughter, Myra. Will be missed by his siblings Annie (Jan), Riet (Martin), Pieter (Annike), and Bea (Hank). Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Beatrice Houx and his brothers-in-laws, Honorio (Edith) and Antonio (Lumen) Antolin. Fondly remembered by his numerous nieces and nephews in Canada, the Netherlands and the Philippines. <br> <br>We would like to thank the staff of the CLSC Pierrefonds and Nova West Island, who have supported us and gave us the means to give our father a good quality of life at home until the end. We would also like to thank all the staff of the Jewish General Hospital Oncology team for their excellent care. <br> <br>Visitation will take place at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Boulevard, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, on Thursday August 22nd 2024 from 6pm to 9pm and on Friday August 23rd as of 9:30am followed by a funeral service at 11am. <br> <br>For those who would like to join the family virtually for the service, we invite you to use the following link to our Livestream platform: https://fweb.tv/152780. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, www.cancer.ca, or the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, https://jghfoundation.org, would be appreciated.</div>
