<div itemprop="description">Man Wai Yee, 88, of Montreal passed away peacefully on October 13, 2018. He was surrounded by his loved ones; children Madeleine (Wei) Chin, John (Lina) Yu, Susan (Wilson) Lee and Louise (Ken) Yu-Ng, grandchildren Tiffany (John), Melanie (Ben), Genevieve (Nathan), Sean, Tristan and Caitlin, and great grandchildren Liam and Alyssa. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Siu Fun Moy. <br> <br>He was born in China and brought his young family to Canada in 1962. When he later settled in Montreal he became very involved in the Chinese community. He was a longtime member of the Montreal Chinese Freemasons (Hongmen Chee Kung Tong) and held important titles such as President of the Montreal Chinese Community Association, First Vice President of the Montreal Chinese Community United Centre, President of the Quebec, Canada - China Unity Association, Board Member of the Montreal International Dragon Boat Race Festival Association and Board Member of the Federation of Chinese Canadians, to name a few. He contributed to many significant projects such as opening the Montreal Chinese Hospital. <br> <br>He enjoyed helping others and giving generously, never expecting anything in return. He inspired us all to be kind to one another. A devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, and a loyal friend to many. His beautiful smile and kind heart will never be forgotten. <br> <br>Visitation and funeral will be held at Rideau Memorial Gardens, 4275 boul. des Sources in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec. Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 2-5pm and 7-9pm and on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 10:30-11:30am followed by the funeral service at 11:30am. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) Foundation. <br></div>
