Maria Petrucci Vendittelli, 77, of Kirkland, QC, passed away peacefully at home on September 7, 2024.
Maria was born on February 5, 1947, in Ferentino, Italy, to Benedetta and Giovanni Petrucci. A true matriarch, she married Libero Vendittelli on June 13, 1964, and together they built a life defined by 60 years of love and commitment.
Maria had a natural gift for bringing people together, filling her home with the warmth of family, friends, and her delicious cooking. Maria embodied kindness and love, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met with her open heart and generous spirit.
Maria's family was her greatest pride and joy. She is survived by her devoted husband, Libero, with whom she shared an extraordinary love. Maria leaves behind her cherished children: Claudio (Sandra), Mirella, and Simonetta (Michael). Her grandchildren, whom she lovingly called her treasures, are Jesse, Justin, Matthew, Laura, Marco, Julia, and Steven. Maria is also survived by her beloved sisters, Isabella DiPastena and Rita D’Alessandro as well as many dear cousins, nieces, and nephews whom she adored.
Visitation will be held on September 12, 2024 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, Dollard-Des Ormeaux. A short visitation will also be held on September 13, 2024 at 9:30 am followed by the funeral service, burial beginning at 10 am at Rideau Funeral Home.
