It is with great sadness that we announce the passing, in Montreal, at the age of 67 of Mark Gregory Brunette.

Musician, wit, independent spirit, philosopher.

Born in Toronto, Mark attended De La Salle College. He moved to Montreal in his teens and graduated from McGill. Rather than a professional career he chose the path less travelled. A skilled guitarist – he knew his music – he played with various bands and styled himself a professional student.

Certainly his comic wit and sharp analysis of so many topics - including music, sports, television and politics - is already missed by those who knew him. Mark was impervious to advertising and never felt he needed ‘’stuff’’.
He lived abstemiously and resourcefully preferring the company of real people.

God Bless and keep him.

He is survived by his brothers Regan and Don (Liz), his nephews Max (Heather), Regan (Malizza), his grandniece Genevieve and grandnephew Calixte.

A private funeral mass will be held at Mary Queen of Peace Church. Burial will follow at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery on Wednesday 6th, January 2021.

For those who would like to attend virtually the Funeral service, this link will be available by Wednesday, January 6th at 11:00 am:
