Our little Millie peacefully and suddenly left us on Sunday, December 29th, 2019 at the age of 93 to be with the love of her life Ron and her beloved daughter Linda. We were lucky enough to have grown up in a compassionate family that always demonstrated kindness, softheartedness and unconditional love. We were taught by our mother to treat people how you would want to be treated. Millie was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, homemaker, caregiver and friend to many who took her matriarchal role very seriously. We all got to witness a true love story and a wonderful marriage of almost 66 years. She was a kind thoughtful person who had a great sense of humor and even though she had dementia for over the past 10 years you would still see a glimpse of that humor from time to time.

If there were a lifetime achievement award for being a Mom, Wife and Nan - it should be awarded to our little Millie. Her last few years at Sunrise initially difficult for us to see her being put into an unfamiliar environment proved to be the absolute and best decision that we could have possibly made. The care and compassion of all the staff on the third floor was exceptional and oddly enough her last few years were spent with people who shared her same thoughts and values on how people should be treated. We thank all of you for the kind work you do each and every day. Millie will join her husband Ron, her daughter Linda, her parents Frank and Louise, her siblings Doris and Earl and leaves behind her daughter Donna (Phil), Son in law Jack , her sister Viney , brother George (Joan) and grandchildren Kim (Peter), Mike (France), Courtney (Nick),Hayden and her great-grandchildren Nicole, Julia, Kate, Emma and Holden and all her nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Friday, January 3rd at Holy Name of Jesus Parish at 11:30am
899 boulevard Chomedey, Laval, Quebec followed by a funeral Mass at 12pm.

If you wish donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Society of Canada

We will miss you Mommy!!
