<div itemprop="description"><br> <br>It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Ralph Henderson Powlett on October 7, 2024. <br>Born on October 17, 1934, in Chapel Gap, St. Michael, Barbados, Ralph was the second of ten children <br>born to Kenneth and Clarissa Browne. He was predeceased by his brothers Leroy and Kenneth Browne, <br>and his sisters Thelma Straker and Hyacinth Forde. <br>He leaves behind his cherished wife of 56 years, Valerie Powlett. Ralph is survived by his loving siblings: <br>Gerald Browne, Harriett Hinds, Golda Taylor, Veronica Brooks, and Margaret Mecado. He was a devoted <br>father to his five children: Hislaryn Weekes Brathwaite, Petrona Straughn, Ralph Weekes, David <br>Carrington, and Camara Campbell. <br>His legacy continues through his grandchildren—Michelle, Lisa, Brian, Kevin, Rayshawn, Danica, and <br>Rashad—as well as his great-grandchildren: Kamari Brathwaite, Tayasha, Tanaysh, Brianna Franklin, and <br>Brian Franklin Jr. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law Avril Robinson (Geoffrey Robinson) and <br>son-in-law Theodius Brathwaite and is survived by sister-in-law Denise Holder (Keith Nurse), son-in-law <br>Hanisley Straughn and daughter- in-law Colleen Weekes. <br>Ralph will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
