Rosita Abrigo, 78, of Montreal, Quebec, passed away on November 9, 2020, from COVID-19 complications.

"Cooking with love provides food for the soul". Lola “Rose” will always be remembered for her amazing Filipino dishes and cooking for her family and friends. Playing Mahjong was one of her favorite pastimes followed closely by trips to the Casino.

Those that knew Rose, will attest that she is a survivor. She survived colon and lung cancer, a hysterectomy, triple by-pass, fourth stage kidney disease due to a long battle with diabetes, and delivered all of her 3 sons by C-section. She fought every minute in her last days at the hospital to stay with us. In the end, we understood what she meant when she said, “I’m ready to go home now.”

Rose was predeceased by her parents, Tomas Abrigo and Martina Tong. She is survived by her three children, Rosel, Rolly, and Rez (Richie), daughter-in-laws Malou and Rhea, and her five grandchildren. We are your legacy.

Should friends and family desire, contributions (in place of flowers) may be sent to the link below. All proceeds will be donated to a Diabetes Foundation and St-Mary’s hospital dialysis unit.

https://www.gofundme.com/f/6zn74-in-memory-of-rosita-abrigo

Watch a video dedicated to our mom under "Media" or copy/paste this link:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HRR2mUPdMCn4vdMQwX-mLioS5OfIYyYf/view?usp=sharing
