<div itemprop="description">Rudolf John Edward Beck (Rudy), at 68 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Quebec, on May 16th, 2024, after a long, courageous battle with Vexas Syndrome. <br> <br>He will be greatly missed by his life partner, Linda Wyngaert, and his two sons, Matthew and Nicholas (Nioushah Noushi), his sister Linda Beck (Phil Goodman), his nephew Zachary Goodman, his stepdaughters, Chelsea Cavanagh (Derek Lupinsky) and Rikki Cavanagh (Jonathan Coussard Dufault). He was opa to Harry, Nathan, Zack, and Jack. He has left many wonderful friends and extended family members behind, including the gang at Nu-Tech Associates. <br> <br>He is predeceased by his mother, Katie Brady, his father Frank and his brother Richard. <br> <br>He loved to swim, cook, and travel. He also had a great interest in maps and geography. He was a stalwart in the aviation industry for over 40 years. <br> <br>His family would like to thank the nurses and PABs at the Royal Victoria Hospital and the nurses, staff, and volunteers at the Cedar Center Day Clinic for their compassion and care. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vexas Foundation. <br> <br>A visitation in Rudy's honour will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 27th, at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Boulevard des Sources, Pierrefonds, followed by a service from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. <br></div>
