It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother Sirvart Hunkiarbeyendian (nee Kevorkian) on September 8, 2022.

Beloved wife of the late Edouard Hunkiarbeyendian. She leaves behind her daughters Janet (James Koti), Karine (Lucas Vazquez) and Diana (Azael Huerta). Most loved and favorite Nene to Brianna (Alexandru), Alexandra (Patrick) and Sebastian – her grandchildren were what made her smile and laugh the most. Loving sister to the late Serpouhi, the late Anahid (the late Kegham Tossounian) and the late Kevork. Sister-in-law to Aram (Riri) and Melanie (Ali Morsi). Caring Tantig to her many nieces, nephews and other family members. Affectionately called Nene by so many friends, caregivers and others.

Our mother was strong and determined to fight Alzheimer’s as best as she could. Her strength, courage and ability to overcome so many obstacles, especially over the last 2 years, showed us all that giving up was not an option and to always believe in yourself and in others. For a tiny, petite woman she packed an enormous amount of strength and energy! Her appetite for life matched her appetite for food and especially yummy desserts. Her smile showed genuine pleasure and appreciation for all the things in life that made her happy.

Her unconditional love, her warmth and gentle spirit will never be forgotten and will remain in our hearts forever. She has now joined our father Edouard in heaven and are in each other’s arms catching up for all that they missed over the last 11 years.

Visitation will be held on September 18 at Rideau Gardens Funeral Home at 4239 Boul. des Sources, DDO between 6:00 to 9:00 pm and on September 19 between 11:00 to 12:00. Funeral service will begin thereafter at 12:00 pm, followed by burial at the same location.

For those who cannot attend, there will be a link for On-Line viewing of the Funeral Service. https://funeraweb.tv/fr/diffusions/60940

In lieu of flowers, it would be greatly appreciated if donations can be made in her memory to either the Alzheimer Society, Hope for Dementia or a charity of your choice.
