It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Stella on May 30th, 2023, after a sudden and brief illness.
Devoted wife for 44 years of the late Pat, and ever-loving mother to Angela (Brad) and Kevin (Helen). Proud and caring Granny to Benjamin, Katharine, Aiden, and Jillian. Dear sister of Sr. Marcella, Bertha (Felix), Peter (Jean), Adeline (Joe), Joe (Millie), Bill (Anne), Albina, Carl (Florence), Rudy (Eileen), Angela (Bob).

Born in Wynyard, Saskatchewan to Walter Lambert and Julia Osika, after high school Stella worked for the Royal Bank in Regina. Stella moved to Montreal in 1966 with her sister Albina, and later met her beloved Pat. She continued her career with the Royal Bank in Montreal until her retirement in 2005, to start her second career as Granny. Stella was an active parishioner at St. Luke’s church for 45 years, and past treasurer and long-standing member of the CWL. She was a devoted mother and always put her family’s needs above her own. She was happiest when her home was full of laughter, and visiting family and friends were crowded around her dining room table eating her famous perogies and cabbage rolls.

She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, friends, and colleagues. A special thank you to all the nurses, doctors and especially the orderlies at Sacre Coeur Hospital who were so very compassionate and helped mom live her last days with dignity.

Visitation will be at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 boul des Sources in DDO on Monday, June 5 and Tuesday, June 6 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. The funeral mass will be Wednesday June 7th at St. Luke’s Church, 106 Anselme Lavigne in DDO at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers a donation in Stella’s memory can be made to the Montreal Sacre-Coeur Hospital Foundation.
