Valdemar Ozols
February 6 1918 – July 23 2020
At 102, Valdi was still living independently at 33 Maywood where he lived for 15 years.
It was a fall in February that sent him to hospital followed by 3 months in rehabilitation and a final move to Nazaire Piche' in June. The Isolation from friends and family due to covid 19 is what broke his spirit.
He is predeceased by his adored wife of 62 years Erna Kaulins and his daughter Rita Ozols Racicot.
Valdemar will be sorely missed by his son-in-law Alain Racicot, friends Eaine Racicot and Hedy Ozolins as well as his longtime friends from the Latvian society .He will be remembered for his classy attire, being a gentleman and making beautiful furniture. A small service will be held at Rideau Memorial funeral home on Sources Blvd on August 15 at 12:15 pm.
